Why
Security doors
?
Security doors are suitable for the interiors of development projects and can create a unique impression as a first point of contact. You can configure the security door to your apartment according to your requirements. In addition to an unlimited number of colour options, we also bring you a wide range of materials from wood veneer to aluminium.
For hotels and accommodation facilities, we also offer state-of-the-art card systems or systems that can be unlocked with a mobile phone or fingerprint. In most cases, security entrance doors are manufactured in such a way that they are aesthetically matched to the interior doors in the living space. Security doors are also manufactured with EI30 fire resistance.

Safety Class:

Kunaj securitydoors are available in two main protection classes - Class 2 and Class 3, which comply with strict European standards, namely EI EW 30 D3 and EI/EW 45. These classes define how the door resists burglary attempts and determine its ability to protect property and personal safety.

In order to be certified as a security door, it must pass a series of tests that simulate real burglary situations. The testing involves various attempts to break through the door using different tools. For example, Class 2 door testing uses basic tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, wedges and crowbars. These tools are commonly available and frequently used in amateur break-in attempts.

The test measures the time the door can withstand such attacks. A Class 2 door must be able to withstand at least 3 minutes of constant attack, which is usually enough time to deter a potential burglar or to allow time to react to a security system.

Doors in Class 3 are tested even more stringently. Tools such as heavy crowbars, mechanical drills, power tools, and even special tools that a professional burglar might use are used. These doors must withstand at least 5 minutes of intense attack, which is a considerably longer time. This time provides a higher level of protection, making it ideal for single-family homes or commercial properties where the risk of burglary is higher.

In real-world conditions, a Class 2 door will resist a burglary attempt, where the burglar uses basic tools and tries to get in quickly and quietly. On the other hand, a Class 3 door can resist more sophisticated attempts where the burglar tries to get in using powerful tools and exerting more force. For example, if a burglar tries to prise the door open with a large crowbar or drill it open with a mechanical drill, a Class 3 door will make this very difficult and often deter them from attempting it altogether.

External noise reduction

Kunaj security doors offer excellent soundproofing, which contributes to better indoor comfort. The doors have the ability to dampen external noise at 33, 35 or 39 decibels (dB). To give you a better idea, 33 dB is the reduction of noise to the level produced by normal conversation in a quiet environment. A level of 35 dB is equivalent to, for example, the noise of a motorbike at a distance of 5 metres, and 39 dB can attenuate noise comparable to normal street noise. In this way, the door makes a significant contribution to creating a quiet and peaceful environment inside your home. In addition, the pull-out threshold increases the effectiveness of soundproofing as it prevents noise from penetrating through the gaps between the door and the floor.

Existing points

Number of locking points: one of the key safety features of Kunaj doors is the number of locking points. These doors have 3 to 5 locking points as standard, which increases the door's resistance to break-in attempts. Each locking point is an additional barrier that makes it more difficult to force the door open. For example, in a normal pry attempt with a crowbar, the locking points are strategically placed to distribute the pressure and prevent the door from opening.

Configuration options:

Double-leaf doors: if you have a wider entrance or are looking for a more imposing look, Kunaj doors can also be manufactured in a double-leaf version. These doors are ideal for entrances to houses or commercial premises where a wider opening width is required. Doors with porthole: For those who want more light in the hallway or entrance hall, Kunaj also offers doors with a porthole. This skylight can be fitted with fire-resistant glass, which not only increases the aesthetic value of the door, but also the safety of the entire building.

Safety features

Locking system:

Kunaj security doors are equipped with advanced multi-point locks and security cylinders. These systems are designed to resist break-in attempts such as drilling or ripping out the liner.

Safety fittings:

The fittings, i.e. the metal elements on the door, are made of high-quality materials that are resistant to mechanical damage.

Notch and threshold:

The 1.5 mm thick steel frame and solid threshold ensure that the door stays firmly in place, even when a strong impact or attempt to prise it open is made. In common situations where weaker doors may give way, the Kunaj door frame and threshold provide additional stability and security.

Safety cylinder:

This insert is specially designed to resist attempts to drill and pry it out. In practice, this means that a thief, even if they have access to professional tools, would take much longer to be able to overcome this insert.

Panoramic viewfinder:

The panoramic peephole allows the owner to see a wider angle of view in front of the door, increasing safety. For example, if someone is standing outside the normal field of view of a standard peephole, a panoramic peephole allows you to see if someone is actually there, reducing the risk of surprise situations.

Safety boy with overlay:

This key is designed to protect the lock and keyhole from tampering. In practice, this means that even if someone were to try to tamper with the keyhole or lock, the overlay and overall design of the keyhole will make it very difficult for them to do so. This protection is also confirmed by an NSA certificate, which guarantees a high level of security.
