Minimalist windows KUNAJ Vision

Our Vision windows are available in both wood and wood-aluminium. By using a minimalist frame, we have achieved a perfect connection with the landscape behind the window. The advantage of this window is the completely thin profile on the interior side, where sharp edges and clean lines are used. The sash also looks very subtle when opened. Vision windows stand out for their uncompromising design and are perfect for lovers of minimalist interiors! Be inspired by our Vision window product line, which you can playfully combine with minimalist interior accessories. Minimalism is not only a trend in architecture and design, but as one of the few interior design styles, it also spills over into the lifestyle that is inspired by it. The focus of a minimalist space is the occupant and user of the interior.

Minimalist architecture

Minimalist architecture and minimalism in the home are very modern concepts nowadays and also very functional. The architecture focuses on using simple design, with large, thin-framed windows that allow plenty of natural light into the interior. The emphasis is on simple, clean design without unnecessary decoration. The main characteristics of this style include modern materials (natural wood, glass, iron), clean lines, open spaces, simple geometric forms and functional use of space.

The inspiration of minimalism stems from the Japanese principles of finding beauty in simplicity and in the natural form of materials. The Japanese aesthetic emphasizes simplicity and spaces free of superfluous decorations and other objects that tend to accumulate in homes. A great inspiration for modern interiors is Scandinavian minimalism, which uses simple elements of soft colours combined with wood, these make the home cosy and create a welcoming atmosphere. Scandinavian interiors are still mostly dominated by white, complemented by wood, but you can often find inspiration in other neutral shades.

Minimalist home

Simple furnishings certainly won't look cold; the goal of minimalism is to create a cosy home where you won't be overwhelmed by unnecessary things and will feel comfortable in it. If you feel like your home is constantly cluttered and makes you feel uncomfortable, the concept of minimalism is perfect for you.

You don't have to throw out all the old stuff right away, but you should gradually re-evaluate what you really use in your home. The ideal scenario is to go through all your belongings individually when you move into a new apartment or house. Then you have the unique opportunity to gradually sort through things and weed out the ones that you don't use at all and their only job is to catch dust. Of course, moving isn't that common, here's some advice on how you too can have a minimalist household.

Furniture

Walk around the apartment and check the individual pieces of furniture. Are you using all of them? Are some of them just for storing unnecessary things? This category usually includes various cupboards, chests of drawers or tables whose only purpose is to store unnecessary things. It is quite likely that just the contents of this furniture will be unnecessary and you will be able to throw away most of your old magazines, documents or correspondence. Of course, don't throw this furniture away, try selling or donating it. Furniture bazaars are very popular nowadays and people often even hunt down old furniture to remodel to their own liking.

Decoration

The decoration category is very popular, and many people even have boxes set aside for the seasonal decorations that clutter their home. To complete the atmosphere of the room, you will be happy with2-3 interesting decorations and houseplants. Gradually weed out the decorations that are just gathering dust and have no function. Pillows, blankets, throws - do you really need them? Keep only the most used and most pleasing to the eye for your interior.

Kitchen

The kitchen is (along with the living room) the epicentre of useless objects. The basic idea of minimalism is to have a clean and spacious space, so the kitchen should be clean and uncluttered with various small appliances, kitchen gadgets and decorative items. So the first step is to tidy up the kitchen counter, put everything on the table and sort out what you don't use at all and what you will put away in the cupboard later. Next, go through the individual cupboards and drawers in the same way. Discarded items should include non-functioning kitchen appliances, extra wrappers and measuring cups, promotional mugs and molds you've never used.

Bedroom

If you have a lot of decorative cushions on your bed that you just put away every night and arrange again in the morning - according to the principles of useless decorations, you should get rid of them too. Only the pillows and the duvet should remain on the bed. Bedside tables are also a place where useless things accumulate. Remove decorations and unnecessary items, and only a lamp and, for example, glasses and a book should remain on the bedside table.

Bathroom

The first rule in the bathroom is to organize your cosmetics, throw away products you don't use and any past their expiration date. A good rule of thumb is not to buy cosmetics when you haven't used up one product yet. Most of the time, this is the step that will help the most towards a cleaner bathroom. Reserve your own cabinet for hair dryers, curling irons and straighteners. You also don't need 10 sets of towels, two nice sets that you rotate should be enough.

Workroom

The desk should also be tidy and you should have no problem finding what you need right away. The desk should only have a computer, the most commonly used office supplies and a notebook or notepad for taking notes. Recycle all unnecessary papers and get rid of unnecessary office items. You can solve the problem of accumulating important documents by scanning them and archiving them on your computer.
